This half-day online workshop looked at a problem most ADAS programmes hit in the same place: validation coverage grows faster than the budget for physical prototypes. We walked through how moving sensor validation earlier into simulation changes the shape of that curve, using anonymised numbers from recent customer programmes.
What we covered
Where simulation genuinely substitutes for road data, and where it does not.
Building a scenario library that stays maintainable past a few hundred cases.
Correlating simulated sensor output against recorded drives without hand-tuning every run.
Deciding when a physical prototype round is still the cheaper answer.
Who attended
Around forty validation leads and CAE engineers joined, split roughly evenly between OEM and tier-one teams. The second half ran as an open technical discussion rather than a presentation, which is where most of the useful material came from.

We run this workshop a couple of times a year and the material is revised each time. If you would like a seat on the next one, or a condensed version run for your own team, mention the ADAS validation workshop in the contact form below.
